I am executive secretary (Geschäftsführer) of the Sudanarchäologische Gesellschaft zu Berlin e. V., which works to preserve the monuments of the Middle Nile Valley, above all at Musawwarat es-Sufra, and to make the cultural heritage of Sudan publicly known. It publishes Der Antike Sudan (MittSAG) and holds the Fritz Hintze Lecture and the Berlin Sudan Day each year.
